Sometimes, it's just easier to cover the reality with a laugh, and pretend you aren't dying inside. While humor is great, it's also great to see ALL of the dimensions of the struggle, to help build an honest connection. One that means more to a person than a forced laugh, or a joke at oneself, in an attempt to make light of the "heavy". Love and Hugs! I guess that I thought focusing on me and my weight loss would mean I could just keep the spotlight on me and the laughter on the whole way. It's not a LOT I have to add, but enough to make me squirm. Chris, exactly!
